Mark Zuckerberg Reveals Personal Challenge for 2017. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg takes on different personal challenges every year. Last year he ran 365 miles, built a simple AI for his home, read 25 books and learned Mandarin. In the same way he has a personal challenge for 2017 as well.

In a Facebook post Zuckerberg said,

“My personal challenge for 2017 is to have visited and met people in every state in the US by the end of the year. I’ve spent significant time in many states already. So I’ll need to travel to about 30 states this year to complete this challenge.”

After a joyous preceding year, his expectation for this challenge is to get out and see more people about how they’re living, working and thinking about the future. He has already enjoyed many road trips with Priscilla and has visited many cities. Now he is eager to discover more about his country and meet people there.

For decades, technology and globalization have made us more creative and connected. This has formed many benefits, but for a lot of people it has also made life more puzzling. Zuckerberg is of the view that there is a need to find a way to alter the game so it works for everyone.

While explaining his challenge he further added that,

“My work is bout connecting the world and giving everyone a voice. I want to personally hear more of those voices this year. It will help me lead the work at Facebook and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative so we can make the most positive impact as the world enters an important new period.”
