Meizu is a new brand in Pakistan and recently they have introduced their new smart phones. They are getting a good response from users and gaining good attention in market. Today we are going to discuss the note series device of Meizu which is “Meizu M3 Note”. Price of Meizu M3 Note in Pakistan is PKR.19,500/-. Let’s read the detailed review of Meizu M3 Note.

Meizu M3 Note is 4G enabled device with the octa-core processor of 1.8 GHz while the internal memory is 16GB and RAM is 2GB. The camera section has 13MP back camera lens and 5MP front camera lens. It runs android version 5.1 (lollipop) with the interface of Flyme 5.1. The power house has big battery of 4100 mAh and it is dual SIM supported device.

Display of Meizu M3 Note:

The m3 note by meizu has all flagship device qualities in display section.  It has 5.5 inches’ screen size with the screen to body ratio of 71%. Above 71 percentage it is considered as very good designed handset. The supportive resolutions are 1080 x 1920 pixels which means it supports full HD system. DPI (density per pixel) is 480 dpi for the visbility of icons and texts.

The best thing which I like about meizu m3 note is its multi-touch support. Mostly QMobile devices scored 5 points in multi-touch but meizu has mesmerized us with us full support of multi-touch and it has scored full 10 points. Touch support is very quick and accurate which is a plus point for meizu handset.

It supports a graphic card of Mali-T860MP2 which is very fast and quick than any other mali card. GPU mainly used for graphics and better display resolutions.

Design of Meizu M3 Note:

Design wise Meizu M3 note is very simple and decent which looks quite nice.  The dimensions of meizu m3 note are 153.6 x 75.5 x 8.2 mm and weight is only 163 grams. It is carried with big battery of 4100 mAh but still its weight is very reasonable and easy to carry. Light weight device always gain more attention of users as compare to other devices.

Front body of meizu note m3 is very simple and outside the screen it has full white body. Bezel layer of shining silver color has covered the whole screen from every corner which is looking very nice. It has just front mounted home key or fingerprint scanner button at its front side otherwise it doesn’t have any other key.

Let’s come to its edges side which is filled with connectivity ports because it has fixed back cover. One side of edge has volume keys and power button while the other one has SIM jacket in which we can use SIM 1 as SIM slot or SIM 2 slot as memory card or another SIM. It depends on our requirement. Upper side has 3.5mm audio jack with mic while down side has microUSB port with dual speakers.

Back side of the body has resemblance with some Infinix and QMobile devices. Whole back body is simple and metallic whereas we have only 13MP camera lens at the top side while below it dual LED flash light is present.

Memory for Meizu M3 Note:

Meizu m3 note has disappointed us with its memory section because it has 16GB internal memory which should be at least 32GB. 16GB internal memory without memory card is not enough at all to use it freely without any worry.

If we like to have a lot of applications and videos, then we must insert memory card otherwise 16GB will be full within in few times. 2GB RAM is good choice for mid-range device and we have tested meizu m3 note and got no delays and lags.

Camera within Meizu M3 Note:

Meizu M3 Note has 13 MP powerful back camera lens with dual LED flash light while the front camera has 5MP lens. Both cameras are supportive in recording videos in full 1080p quality. Let’s check the cameras efficiency in detail.

Rear Camera of Meziu M3 Note:

The Meizu m3 note has 13MP back camera lens which can take pictures in 4208 x 3120 pixels. It has also dual LED flash light that works brilliant in low-lights or in night mode.

The main modes are Auto, Macro, Manual, ISO, exposure, beauty, panorama, light field, scan and slow motion. It has also adjustable exposure setting and even the focus adjustment. Beauty mode has bigger eyes, face slimmer, skin smoother and lighter.

The camera interface is very simple and Auto mode is set by default when you open the camera. If you want to take pictures in HDR mode, then you must enable it otherwise it doesn’t have automatic HDR function. Viewfinder mode has grid lines and self-timer option is also accessible with 3,5 or 10 seconds.

The results of Meizu m3 note are not as good as we expect from 13MP lens. It has blurry shots for some images and noise is very much in most of the pictures. Auto focus is not very quick and we have to adjust focus manually sometimes. Colors and dynamic range is working good and contrast of colors are also perfect.

Front Camera of Meizu M3 Note:

M3 Note of Meizu has 5MP front camera lens with no LED flash light or screen light. It can record videos in full 1080p quality and the result as a selfie camera are not up to the mark. The colors are so bad in contrast and brightness category.

It can take pictures up to 2592 x 1944-pixel size while some color effects are also accessible such as maroon, mono, film, vi rid and many others. I personally didn’t like the results of front camera. The lights and beauty function works too bad even it looks like it is having 2MP lens or standard VGA.

Connectivity of Meizu M3 Note:

The Meizu M3 note is LTE supported device with the access of 3G and 2G network also. It supports all the bandwidths of networks in Pakistan.

M3 note is also capable of some other connectivity’s such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, memory card and dual-SIM support. It doesn’t have Radio access while the Wi-Fi supports the standards of 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot. Bluetooth version is 4.0 while SIM jacket has place of SIM and memory card.

Battery Performance of Meizu M3 Note:

The M3 note has big and fixed battery of 4100 mAh. It is present inside the fixed back cover and meizu has provided has good big battery with enough efficient timings.

It has octa-core chip set with 5.5 inches’ screen size and media tek chipset so all things work for battery saving functionality. We have tested the battery power of m3 note and it has provided has enough efficient time to play with it. Excessive usage of 3G/4G and games will drain the battery very quickly.

Interface of Meizu M3 Note:

The meizu m3 note runs android version 5.1 lollipop and using the new interface version which is FLYme 5.1 OS. Android 5.1 is old android version but with operating system of flyme it doesn’t look like because it is using all the latest techniques. Oppo and meizu has same kind of interface which resembles a lot with IPhone IOS.

The lock screen has simple interface that has date and time displayed at the top side, below it we have notification bar. Top side is showing status bar of SIM, battery level and other connectivity’s like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. Main screen is different as compare to other android devices because it doesn’t have date and time widget at its top.

Google search bar is displayed at the top side to search directly for anything. Below it we are having applications that are arranged in rows and columns. It has grid view menu which has no search bar for application. You must swipe the screen and choose your desired application.

We have seen that QMobile and Infinix devices are loaded with bloatware application but unfortunately meizu is not. It has very few bloatware applications such as security, themes and user center.

Processor of Meizu M3 Note:

Meizu m3 note has octa-core processor of 1.8GHz with the chipset of Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10. This chip set works faster than any other quad-core chip set and it has very accurate response. The processor is built on the architecture of ARM Cortex-A53 and it is 64-bit type processor.

We haven’t observed any kind of delays and lags while doing multi-tasking and no heating issue has been observed while charging the device.

Antutu Benchmarking of Meizu M3 Note:

Antutu Bench marking has tested the meizu m3 note and it has got the score of 45826 points. The ranking is very normal because it is new brand and it takes time to compete with other device services.

Vellamo Benchmarking for Meizu M3 Note:

Vellamo Bench marking has played an important role to check the performance of device via taking three tests. Multi-core has scored 2125 points, metal has 1324 scored points and chrome browser has got 2816 points.

Conclusion:

Meizu M3 note is 4G enabled device with the screen size of 5.5 inches and it has octa core processor with many other features. The device has worked brilliantly in every section except front camera which doesn’t have extra good results. The m3 note is available in Pakistan with very affordable price and the best point of this handset is that it has very light weight but with a big battery of 4100 mAh.
