Meizu is a new brand in Pakistan and recently they have introduced their some latest devices. Today we will look upon the heavy device of meizu, it is not heavy in sense of weight but it is heavily loaded with features. The device name is “Meizu MX6” and price of this device in Pakistan is PKR.31,500/-.

Meizu MX6 is 4G enabled device with the screen size of 5.5 inches’ further it has deca-core processor of 2.3GHz. It has 3 or 4GB RAM with the fixed internal memory of 32GB. The camera section has 12MP lens for back camera and 5MP for front camera while the power house has 3060 mAh fixed battery. The system runs android version 6.0 Marshmallow and it has access of fingerprint scanner also.

Display of Meizu MX6:

Display wise it has totally resemblance with Iphone or Oppo devices. It has 5.5 inches’ screen size with the supportive resolution display of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The screen to body ratio is almost 72% which is a plus point. For the clear visibility of icons and texts the screen has 480 dpi (density per pixel).

MX6 has Mali-T880 MP4 as its graphic processing unit (GPU) that helps to improve its graphics and power performance. This graphic card is better than any other mali card because it improves the performance of device 40% more than any other card.

Design of Meizu MX6:

Design wise it totally resembles with Iphone 6 Plus or look like we are having sibling of Iphone. The body dimensions of Meizu MX6 are 153.6 x 75.2 x 7.3 mm and weight is only 155 grams. Weight wise it is the perfect device to carry with all the brilliant features.

Front body has full white body with the front camera, ear piece and sensor at its top side while down side has only fingerprint scanner or home button. It doesn’t support any function keys because it has same operating system like IPhone. Shiny silver layer has covered the whole screen from every corner of the device.

Edges of Meizu Mx6 are covered with connectivity ports because it doesn’t have removable back cover. One side of the edge has volume keys and power button while the other one has SIM jacket. Upper side has nothing except mic while bottom side has microUSB port, speakers and audio jack.

Back body has 13MP lens with dual LED flash light at its back while rest of the body is totally simple. “Meizu” name is marked at the back body further the body is full metallic.

Memory for Meizu MX6:

Meizu MX6 has 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB ROM. It has fixed internal memory and it doesn’t support memory card. This feature is same like IPhone or Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It should be better if they provide expandable internal memory because these are the main things android users look forwards.

The RAM is 4GB which is totally brilliant feature with respect to multi-tasking. We have tested the device and it haven’t given us any delays and lags while testing it.

Camera within Meizu MX6:

Meizu MX6 is equipped with 12MP back camera lens with flash light and front camera has 5MP lens with no flash light. Let’s look at both cameras in detail.

Rear Camera of Meizu MX6:

Meizu MX6 has 12MP back camera lens with 1/2.9” size and 1.25µm pixels. It is the first smart phone that is using Sony’s IMX386 sensor further it is featured with some more latest features such as f/2.0 lens, dual LED flash light and phase detection auto focus.

In Meizu MX6 they have replaced the laser assisted auto focus system with a phase detection system. The results of Meizu MX6 is much better than Meizu MX5. When you open the camera, auto mode is set by default to shoot the images. No automatic HDR is enable, you have the option to enable it or disable it via settings menu. Gridline is accessible for view finder further for level gauge is also available.

The main modes are Auto, Macro, Manual, Beauty, Panorama, GIF, Light field, Scan, and Slow-motion. Manual mode gives us total professional photography such as it allows us to set shutter speed, fix the ISO, exposure, compensation and even focus detection also. Beauty mode beautify the subject like it can make face slim, big eyes, skin smoother and skin toner. Scan mode works for bar code scanning and slow motion is used in capturing slow motion videos.

The results of Meizu MX6 back camera are satisfactory but you will feel a little bit more noise in images a s compare to other camera’s results. Somehow it lacks sharpness and some edges of the images are also not clear. ISO and exposure works best and dynamic range is very good and focus is also very quick. Contrast and while balance is also very well balanced. Low light images need flash light otherwise you don’t get perfect results.

Front Camera of Meizu MX6:

Front camera of Meizu MX6 has 5MP powerful lens with no flash light. The main modes for front camera are auto, manual, video, beauty, panorama, light field, slow motion, scan, macro and GIF. The camera results are very much better than the Meizu M3 note.

Camera result in selfies are way too good. sharpness, contrast, color accuracy is very balanced and you don’t feel much noise in the images. Meizu M3 note has disappointed us a lot with its front camera but meizu mx6 has given us better results.

Connectivity of Meizu MX6:

Meizu MX6 is 4G enabled device with the access of 3G/2G network also. It also supports the connectivity of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but it lacks the connectivity of FM Radio. Wi-Fi supports the standards of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct and hotspot while Bluetooth version is 4.0.

 It is Dual SIM supportive handset and we can insert two Nano- SIM in it. It doesn’t support expandable memory because it has fixed internal memory of 32GB or 64GB.

Battery Performance of Meizu MX6:

Meizu MX6 has li-ion fixed battery of 3060 mAh which is present inside the fixed back cover. It has 2A charger to charge the device which will charge the device completely in almost one and half hour.

The MX6 has deca-core processor with media tek chip set which will help in saving the battery power. Excessive usage of 4G/3G or video games can drain the battery very quickly.

Interface of Meizu MX6:

The meizu mx6 note runs android version 6.0 Marshmallow and using the new interface version which is FLYme 5.1 OS. Oppo and meizu has same kind of interface which resembles also a lot with IPhone IOS.

The lock screen has simple interface that has date and time displayed at the top side, below it we have notification bar. Top side is showing status bar of SIM, battery level and other connectivity’s like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. Main screen is different as compare to other android devices because it doesn’t have date and time widget at its top.

Google search bar is displayed at the top side to search directly for anything. Below it we are having applications that are arranged in rows and columns. It has grid view menu which has no search bar for application. You must swipe the screen and choose your desired application.

We have seen that QMobile and Infinix devices are loaded with bloatware application but unfortunately meizu is not. It has very few bloatware applications such as security, themes and user center.

Processor of Meizu MX6:

The system of Meizu MX6 is mechanized with deca-core processor of 2.3GHz with the chip set of Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20. The chip set is faster and quick than any octa-core chip set. As it has deca-core processor so we haven’t got any delays and lags.

Everything performs so well and it has very quick response. 4GB RAM with deca-core processor is the much needed thing in these fast times.

Antutu Benchmarking of Meizu MX6:

Antutu Bench marking has tested the Meizu Mx6 and it has scored 92137 points. Best thing is Meizu MX6 has scored full 10-points in multi touch test.

Vellamo Benchmarking for Meizu MX6:

Vellamo Bench marking has taken three major tests in checking device performance. Meizu MX6 has scored 3093 points in metal test, 3030 points in multi-core test and 6243 points in chrome browser test.

Meizu MX6 is a prefect device for smart phone lovers because it is a light weight device with brilliant features. It has very much resemblance with IPhone series and it has fixed internal memory of 32GB with 4GB RAM. The device has worked awesome in every section and given us much better results than its other competitors.
