Exclusive: Microsoft Officially Acquired LinkedIn
Earlier in June, Microsoft had officially announced today that it will acquire LinkedIn for $26.2 billion. Now Microsoft Officially Acquired LinkedIn. Both companies announced that acquisition deal had closed. It took six months to transfer $26.2 billion to LinkedIn. The deal was finalized by European Commission by one condition. That is Microsoft will allow other professional social networks to use its Office applications.

LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weine said in a blog post:
“I’m more confident than ever that our move to join forces with Microsoft will accelerate our mission to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful, and ultimately help create economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce,”
According to the deal, LinkedIn will remain unchanged for its users. However, Microsoft’s expertise will provide an even better experience to LinkedIn users in the future. Both companies also announced that they are planning to work together on artificial intelligence, machine learning, the cloud, devices and more.
