The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has established an electronic monitoring system for instantly analyzing the pursuits, questions, complaints of Hujjaj amid Hajj days.

The setup which has been introduced by Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB) ensures that it will make Hajj administration easier for both the government and pilgrims.

The system is an extensive portal that has a diversity of value-added features, all devised to procure to particular needs of the pilgrims. It is a helpline which is available both, online and via an Android application called “Pak Hajj Moavin”, by subscribers to register queries, complaints and suggestions in a persuasive way. The pilgrims would be capable to register their complaints concerning any difficulties whereas the staff deputed in the holy land and as well in Pakistan would try to address grievances. The Hajj Monitoring System will facilitate oversees private Hajj operants as well.

A mobile SMS facility has also been devoted to the propagation of information. The grievances could also be recorded on an on-line complaint registration portal. The system has an innate appliance of delivering the unsettled complaints to the next category of management for taking certain pertinent measures. A day-to-day situation report will also be produced for the information of senior management.

The system was first introduced at Hajj 2013. Multitude of complaints were registered via this system and were thrivingly addressed and resolved to the gratification of the complainants. The monitoring and supervision mechanism for Hajj operation in Pakistan and KSA shall be invigorated to check the execution of the governmental institutions and HGOs Schemes, likewise the constitutional requirements and Saudi Taleemat.

Furthermore, proforma centered feedback, presented last year, will also be retrieved from the pilgrims of both Government and Private Hajj Schemes the time they reach Pakistan. Several officers and officials of the Ministry are also part of the Hajj Monitoring System and have been assigned special duties in order to permit them to prospect the imminent information, which again counts an aspect of clarity to the unfolding.
