Mobile Phone Users Growth Continuously Increasing in Pakistan
The growth rate of Smartphone usage in Pakistan is continuously increasing day by day. Most probably at the end of 2016, Pakistan will has 40 million smartphone users. Moreover, the continuous growth is expected to touch 8 percent mark in coming years. The main reason of this growth is the launch of 3G and 4G technologies in Pakistan. These technologies urges people to buy 3G/4G enabled mobile phones. That is why the huge demand of such mobile phones is increasing. At the same time Pakistan has 30 Million Mobile Phone users and the amount is continuously growing.

According to market sources, in Pakistan’s monthly mobile phone imports, smartphones are less than 20%. However, Pakistan’s e-commerce market represents only 5 % of conventional retail trade. Moreover, the fast growing market has come close to $ 100 million.

50% e-commerce transactions are originated from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. However, the other transactions are done through other cities of Pakistan.
As 3G and 4G services are going to launch in semi urban areas, Mobile Phone users are expected to increase more.
According to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) latest report, broadband subscriptions have shown a growth of over 1900 % during June – 2014 to July- 2016.
The total data used on the mobile networks in june 2014 was 1,964 TBs. The amount increased to a massive level of 39,821 TBs in July 2016. However, telecom revenues have increased by only 1.47% during the FY 2015-16.
As per the growing rate of Mobile phone users, Telecom companies  to set such strategies to increase this rate more.
