Mobile Phones Subscribers Reaches 145 Million: PTA
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has reported that the cellular mobile subscribers reached to 145 million along with teledensity of 71.42%. Mobile Phones Subscribers Reaches 145 Million: PTA.
Out of 145 Million mobile users in the country, the 3G/4G subscribers have reached 48 billion. Moreover, till the month of December teledensity for 3G/4G subscribers has raised to 23.81 percent and teledensity of cellular subscriber reached 71.42 percent. where as mobile broadband (3G/4G) users’ were 37.574 million till December 2016. According to an official data broadband subscriber reached 51 billion and teledensity of broadband reached 24.96 percent.
Mobile Phones Subscribers Reaches 145 Million: PTA
PTA has given the exact data of subecribers in the report, in which they mentioned that till December 2017 the Ufone 3G users reached 5.7 million, Telenor 3G users reached 10.63 million, Jazz 3G users reached 14.29 million and Zong 3G users reached 9.5 million. However, Telenor 4G users reached 1.5 million, Mobilink 4G users reached 1.9 million and Zong 4G users reached 4.9 million.
Earlier Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a drive on the directions of Government Pakistan. In which SIMs were verified through biometric process. In that drive out all Telecom Operators have issued 215.4 Million SIMs, 98.3 Million SIMS got blocked (Unverified on Biometrics) by Telecom Operators.18.7 Million SIMs became active after going through verification process.
