VimpelCom customers are on the road to a very exciting time as Mobilink just announced a deal signed by VimpelCom and Google, which is directed towards proving customers with a state of the art digital experience. This deal will allow Mobilink customers to access Google Play to buy or try anything, only by using their mobile accounts. This deal doesn’t apply only to prepaid or post paid customers, but both.
The cost of any app bought will be deducted from the current balance of a customers prepaid account, whereas in regards to a postpaid account the charges will be included in the monthly bill.
The remarkable thing about this deal, is that that now with easy access to Google Play customers can access all their music, videos, books, apps and games on a single online device, without having to synchronize several devices.
To make matters easier, a ‘VimpelCom Channel’ has been set up creating easy access for VimpelCom customers in which they can navigate though 600,000 apps available in the Google Play Store.
Available via the local Google Play store, the VimpelCom channel will feature dozens of apps . The “VimpelCom Channel” and mobile account payments for the Google Play store will be initiated in VimpelCom’s operations all around the world, starting later this year.
Mikhail Gerchuk, VimpelCom’s Group Chief Commercial Officer, stated: “the collaboration with Google will provide our customers around the world with a convenient way to access and pay for millions of apps, games and songs, significantly enhancing the smartphone experience in countries where banking and credit card services are not widely used.
This deal is seen to be a step forward towards VimpelCom’s strategy of providing customers with the finest mobile internet experience. VimpelCom also recently announced a partnership with Opera Software in hopes of delivering better mobile browsing for customers using cheap phones.
