Mobilink-Warid Announce Voluntary Separation Scheme for Employees

Mobilink and Warid CEO Aamir Ibrahim has announced a Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS) for all employees. It is a joint agreement between the company and its employees that permits employees willingly separate from the company under special financial arrangements. This Scheme came as a result of the successful merger of Mobilink-Warid.

Mobilink-Warid Announce Voluntary Separation Scheme for Employees. This new structure will enable employees of both the companies to discover further career openings while receiving a financial benefit besides their usual end of service profits.

Following are the details about VSS:

Eligibility to Participate in the VSS

The scheme is accessible to all confirmed regular and contract based employees of Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited, Warid Telecom (Private) Limited Company (counting workers provided to Warid by HR Perfect Solution Providers (Pvt) Ltd.and E Square services providers (Pvt) Ltd.), Business Communication Services and LinkdotNet Telecom. Excluding the Chief Officers at Mobilink, expatriates, employees on test, employees serving notice period and employees under any strict inquiry.

This is an intended scheme to be availed by an employee at his/her own choice. Applying to the Scheme doesn’t mean that employees’ separation from the company will be accepted. Company has the right to accept with a postponed release date or discard any VSS application conditional on business requirements.

Applying to the VSS

Employees can apply for the VSS and submit their applications no later than 6:00 PM PST on Friday, 4 November, 2016. Applications must be submitted online or otherwise in hard copy, only in cases where employees don’t have email IDs or access to systems. Employees with intranet access can submit their application to the scheme via the online VSS portal.

Those who don’t have intranet access can fill in a paper application and post the duly completed and signed form to the Mobilink Head Office (HR Department, 1-A, Kohistan Road, IBC 1, Ground Floor, F-8/3, Islamabad). The paper form can be found by contacting the HR helpdesk.

After submitting any application they can be reserved before the deadline for submission of applications.

Outcome of VSS

The result of the approval process will be disclosed on Friday 18 November 2016 separately via email messages to all employees who applied. In principle, accepted applicants’ last working day would be 30th November 2016. But under some conditions a worker may be required to stay longer. The companies will not accept any release dates further than 31st March 2017.

Package Details

Upon recognition of the application employees would become entitled for a Voluntary Leave Incentive (VLI) comprehensive of presently applicable compensation package. Gross salary according to the last day of the application period will be used for the calculation.

Special Medical Benefit

Along with the VLI, personnel whose applications are accepted will also be eligible for a uniform 1 year medical IPD insurance.

All important information can be found on the online portal as well. Employees can also reach the VSS help desk with any queries or concerns. The help desk will be accessible to answer queries on weekdays from Monday 24th of October, 2016 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
