We are all plagued with the excessive use of Mobile Phones today. It has, as if, become a kind of drug we all want to consume a bit but gets carried away to the point of getting addicted. An article on the ‘Bad Impacts of Mobile Rays‘ has already been drafted. Now I present means to cut out this Screen Time through ZenScreen – Track and limit screen time! And monitoring your mobile usage.
There are a number of monitoring Mobile usage Apps I came across while searching for one to force me to quit mobile addiction and monitor my mobile usage. But this is the best in my point of view so far. Let’s get to the features and drawback of this Mobile Application.
What It Has To Offer:
Know what apps you or your kids have used and for how long. Note: app time tracking works automatically without the need to upload screenshots daily.
TIME BY CATEGORY:
See how many minutes are spent each day on productive vs entertainment apps. Find the perfect time balance that works for you.
Quickly check your phone for 10 minutes in the morning and then get a 20-minute break automatically to begin your day.
Set a healthy bedtime schedule (e.g. 9 pm to 7 am) to stop apps from working at bedtime, ending all-night video marathons or endless social media scrolling. A good night’s rest leads to improved health and happiness.
Beat social network addiction by taking suggested mini-breaks throughout the day.
DAILY TIME LIMIT:
Set a digital allowance for entertainment apps (like social media, video, and games) and ZenScreen will help you and your kids stay within that limit (e.g. 90 minutes of entertainment time daily). ZenScreen empowers kids to make smart choices.
Make apps disappear with the tap of a button for device-free dinner, family time, etc. Think of it as a mini-break from technology to help you recharge your brain.
In short, it is a whole package of monitoring and shielding the excess use of mobile and especially the ‘Zen Breaks’ they have to offer, helps you pull out of the flow!
The only drawback
of the App is that is won’t be showing the stats without an internet connection. Not that it stops working but you cannot just fetch your daily mobile usage without an internet connection or make any changes to the app. The App just won’t open without an internet connection. Instead, it gives an error and the window closes.
