Rana Tanveer Hussain, Fedral Minister Science, Technology and Defense production shared the government’s initiative to build Technology part to all major cities of Pakistan. MOST Aims to Promote Innovation & Research Culture in Pakistan: Rana Tanveer .

In a meeting with Secretary-General, UNESCAP, Dr Shamshad Akhtar, Mr Rana told that Ministry of Science and Technology has started new projects with the aim to promote research culture and innovation in Pakistan.

Science and Technology Federal Secretary Yasmin Masood and other senior officials from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) also attended the meeting.

Federal Minister also said that Nust and Comsats are already working on this research initiative and requested UNESACAP to provide technical assistance in these initiatives.

Dr Shamshad Akhtar praised the role of Ministry of Science and Technology to promote startups, entrepreneurs, research and innovation culture in Pakistan. Ms. Shamshad also said that UNESACAP will support Pakistan to build better connectivity and socio economic developments for Pakistan.

She  also requested Mr. Rana to provide the list of best researchers and scientists of Pakistan so that the UNESCAP could coordinate with them for the development of science and technology globally.
