Motorola Razr is making a come back after 15 years. But it is not the traditional mobile phone which we used back in 2004. It has been changed and modified. The new Motorola Razr is a foldable smartphone with a 6.2 inches bendable screen. It is only the third of its kind after Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. Razr is a tall and vertically flipping device. The price of this phone is approximately $1500/-.
Some Loopholes of the Upcoming Motorola Razr
The specifications of the mobile phone are unique. But there are some criticizing voices propagating about the phone as well. I will be quoting some loopholes which should be regarded while buying the phone.
First of all, the reliability and durability of the smartphone. The Razr uses a plastic OLED (P-OLED) display with a hard plastic coating on top. Plastic isn’t as rigid and durable as glass. That’s the reason which makes foldable phones more prone to damage. Even though Motorola has claimed that the screen is equipped with a premium quality of plastic. But still it is not guaranteed that the smartphone will have a reliable and scratch proof screen. And to what extent it can bear the stress and strain.

The second problem lies with the battery. The power of the battery is 2510 mAh. Now, as we all know all the modern phones have a battery power of 3500-4000 mAh. Therefore, without any testing we can assume that the battery is underpowered.
The next problem lies with the fragility of the smartphone. Like Galaxy Fold came with a clear set of instructions for handling. Although Motorola claims that the phone will be splash proof. But it hasn’t been tested or practically examined yet.
The final loophole is about the lack of folding test. Motorola isn’t saying how many times its Razr was folded and unfolded as part of a stress test.
By the above discussion, it is clear that no one will risk to invest $1500 dollars on a smartphone which has so many criticisms about its durability and performance.
