M&P Moves Beyond Mobile Distribution With LIVOLTEK Clean-Energy Deal

Muller & Phipps Pakistan has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with LIVOLTEK, marking a significant expansion of the distributor’s business interests into Pakistan’s renewable energy sector.

The partnership will focus on the manufacturing, distribution, and after-sales support of clean-energy products, including hybrid solar inverters, battery energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging solutions.

For Muller & Phipps, which is widely known in Pakistan for its distribution operations across the mobile and consumer technology sectors, the agreement represents a broader move into energy infrastructure and emerging clean-tech categories.

Under the partnership, LIVOLTEK will bring its renewable energy technology and product portfolio, while Muller & Phipps will contribute its existing distribution network, logistics infrastructure, and service capabilities.

The companies said the collaboration is intended to improve product availability across Pakistan, strengthen after-sales support, and expand access to renewable energy solutions for residential, commercial, and potentially enterprise customers.

The agreement also includes a manufacturing component, suggesting that the relationship could extend beyond conventional product distribution. However, the companies have not yet disclosed details regarding production volumes, timelines, or the extent of local assembly or manufacturing planned under the arrangement.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations. Muller & Phipps was represented by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kamran Nishat, Director Telecom & Allied Business Jahanzeb Saeed, General Manager Factory Rashid ul Hassan, Director Legal & Administration Munaf Lakda, Director Finance and Company Secretary Muhammad Tariq Khan, General Manager Telecom & Allied Business Sumera Fazil, and General Manager Telecom & Allied Business Zeeshan Amanullah.

LIVOLTEK was represented by Max Ma, Director of Sales for South Asia and the Middle East; Aamir Shahzad, Distribution Capability Manager for LIVOLTEK Pakistan; and Huang Rui, Commercial and Logistics Manager.

The partnership comes as Pakistan’s energy market continues to see strong interest in rooftop solar systems, battery storage, and related technologies, driven by high electricity costs and growing demand for alternatives to conventional grid supply.

It also reflects a wider trend in which established distribution companies are looking beyond their traditional sectors and using existing logistics and retail networks to enter fast-growing technology categories.

For LIVOLTEK, access to Muller & Phipps’ nationwide distribution and service infrastructure could help the company strengthen its market presence and expand availability of its solar and energy-storage products.

For Muller & Phipps, the move provides an opportunity to diversify into a sector that increasingly overlaps with consumer electronics, power management, and electric mobility.

The companies said they expect the collaboration to support Pakistan’s clean-energy transition by improving access to solar, battery storage, and EV-charging technologies.

The agreement was signed at the Muller & Phipps head office in Karachi in August 2026.
