NADRA Expands Pak ID App Services with Balochistan Vehicle Integration and KP Civil Registration
Developed in collaboration with the Government of Balochistan, the latest updates aim to streamline administrative tasks by letting citizens complete essential verifications entirely online.
What’s New in Pak ID Version 5.6.8
The v5.6.8 release focuses heavily on provincial vehicle ownership tools for Balochistan residents:
-
Digital Vehicle Registration Cards: Owners of vehicles registered in Balochistan can now access and view their digital registration cards directly within the app.
-
Remote Biometric Verification: Buyers and sellers involved in vehicle sales and purchases can complete mandatory biometric identity verification remotely using smartphone fingerprint scanning, eliminating physical visits to excise offices.
Key Additions from Version 5.6.6
The release follows closely on the heels of version 5.6.6, which brought two major platform updates:
-
“View Card” Pre-Submission Preview: Applicants updating or applying for identity cards can preview their expected National Identity Card prior to submission. This allows users to double-check personal information, correct entries, and reduce application errors before final payment.
-
KP Civil Registration Services: Version 5.6.6 enabled digital registration for vital life events—including births, deaths, marriages, and divorces—in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Initially launched across all village and neighborhood councils in Peshawar, the service is scheduled to expand across the province in phases.
Expanding Digital Governance Across Pakistan
By consolidating vehicle transfers, identity management, and civil registration into a single mobile portal, NADRA continues to reduce paper workflows and long queues at government offices. The inclusion of remote biometric scanning for vehicle transactions marks another step toward fully decentralized public administrative services across all provinces.
