NADRA Introduces New Biometric Verification Option for Faint Fingerprints

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an alternative biometric verification facility for citizens who face difficulties getting their fingerprints recognized by biometric devices.
The new facility is aimed at people whose fingerprints are faint, unclear or difficult to detect. Such issues can make it challenging for citizens to complete biometric verification at banks and other institutions.
According to a NADRA spokesperson, the authority received several complaints from citizens who were unable to complete the verification process because their fingerprints could not be properly detected.
NADRA Introduces New Biometric Verification Option for Faint Fingerprints
Under the new facility, citizens whose fingerprints cannot be accurately captured by biometric systems will be able to use an alternative procedure to verify their identity. This will provide another way for them to complete verification when the standard fingerprint-based method does not work.
Fingerprint recognition is commonly used for identity verification in banking and other services. However, some people may experience problems when their fingerprints become unclear or are not properly recognized by biometric scanners.

NADRA’s latest step is intended to reduce these difficulties and make the verification process more accessible for affected citizens. People who previously had to face repeated attempts or delays because of fingerprint-related problems may now have another option to complete the required verification.
The facility will help citizens access services that require biometric identification without being blocked solely because their fingerprints cannot be detected accurately.
The move also reflects NADRA’s efforts to address public complaints and provide alternative solutions for citizens facing biometric verification challenges.
