New Leak Reveals Camera Details of Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy Z Foldable Phones

Samsung is getting ready to introduce its next generation of foldable smartphones, and new leaks have revealed important details about their camera. The company will announce the new Galaxy Z series in July, and the lineup will include the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8. While Samsung has not officially confirmed the specifications, the latest leak gives us a good idea of what users can expect.

Among the three devices, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will receive the biggest camera improvement. According to the leaked information, the phone will continue to use a triple rear camera setup, similar to its predecessor. However, Samsung will replace the existing 12MP ultrawide camera with a new 50MP ultrawide sensor. This upgrade could help users capture sharper and more detailed wide-angle photos.

New Leak Reveals Camera Details of Samsung’s Upcoming Galaxy Z Foldable Phones

The main camera on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra will remain the same 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor found on the previous model. This high-resolution camera is famous for producing detailed images in different lighting conditions. The phone will also keep the 10MP telephoto camera, allowing users to zoom in on distant subjects without losing too much image quality. Overall, the camera changes on the Ultra model appear to focus on improving the ultrawide photography experience while keeping the other trusted sensors.

The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide will also offer a capable camera system. Unlike the Ultra model, it will feature a dual rear camera setup with two 50MP sensors. Although the exact purpose of the second 50MP camera has not been revealed, the setup suggests that Samsung wants to deliver better image quality across different shooting modes. The device will also include a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display and another 10MP front camera on the inner folding screen. This should provide users with a consistent selfie and video calling experience whether the phone is folded or unfolded.

The Galaxy Z Flip8, Samsung’s upcoming clamshell foldable, may not receive major camera upgrades this year. According to the leak, the device is likely to carry over the same camera hardware as the Galaxy Z Flip7. It will feature a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. While the hardware may remain unchanged, Samsung could still improve photo quality through software enhancements and image processing.

Samsung will officially unveil the new Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 on July 22. If the reports are accurate, the smartphones could go on sale starting August 5. As with all pre-launch leaks, these details are not official until Samsung makes its official announcement. However, the latest information suggests that Samsung is focusing on refining its foldable lineup with selective camera upgrades while maintaining the features that have already proven successful.
