WhatsApp, the most popular chat app, people of different fields use it and have groups for different purposes. Some use WhatsApp groups for business discussion while some people use it for group discussion with friends and family members. WhatsApp is improving the functionality and recently has introduced feature, mostly focused on administrators. New WhatsApp feature is returning power to administrator.
WhatsApp announced several major features related to group. In February it rolled out a feature which allows administrators to give the detail of the purpose of group. And your new members don’t need to know why they have been added to the group.
New WhatsApp Feature to Give Power Back to Administrators of Group
New WhatsApp feature gave boost to admin controls. WhatsApp now allows administrators to control that who can change the group name, icon and description. Before that anyone could add dodgy group icon.
Administrators can now officially cancel admin permissions from other group members, while creators of group cannot be removed from their own group. The former feature could be useful for work-related groups.
It is obvious and clear that now WhatsApp wants to return power to group administrators. It has also added a some features for ordinary group members. You can now catch up with your messages in a group by tapping a new “@” button that appears in the lower right corner.
WhatsApp is also going to launch “protection” so you can’t be added again to groups, once you have left.
