NHS Cyber Attack Spreads to at least 75000 People in 100 Countries. Several hospital trusts have been hit by a huge cyber attack across UK. Latest estimated has suggested that up to 75,000 people in 100 countries are affected by this huge NHS cyber attack.
This cyber attack locked the computers and also demanded ransom for its recovery. This malware charged the NHS into chaos. This hacking software is believed to be stolen or leaked from the NSA.

New York times, a group named Shadow Brokers used to post software tools that came from the US government’s stockpile of hacking weapons last summer. This software was developed by NSA and funded by American taxpayers. For the first time in history this software is stolen.

This is ironic that NHS software is stolen and used against patients, businesses and hospitals. NHS cyber attack has been reported in 74 countries which include Ukraine, India, Taiwan, Japan and Spain. Where as Russia is believed to be effected the hardest.
This ransom ware which locked users files demands a $300 payment to allow access. BBC report suggest that hackers are paid £22,080 already.
NHS organisations across the country are warned that this software is likely to hit again today as staff return to work. This Malware is expected to be reactivated once the computers are switched on again. Lets hope for the best.
