NITB, LMK & NITB Given last Chance to Resolve E-services Issue

Senate standing committee for IT and Technology yesterday met under the chairmanship of senator Shahi Syed to discuss the e-services issue of CDA,LMK and PITB. Senators Abdul Rehman Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Najma Hameed and Dr Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi also attended the meeting. Yesterday Senate committee gave final notice to Capital Development Authority (CDA), National Information Technology Board (NIBT) and LMK to resolve their differences regarding the installation of e-services software at CDA. NITB, LMK & NITB Given last Chance to Resolve E-services Issue.

The committee met under the chairmanship of Senator Shahi Syed, while Senators Abdul Rehman Malik, Taj Muhammad Afridi, Najma Hameed and Dr Ghous Muhammad Khan Niazi also attended the meeting.

The senate body gave the deadline to CDA, NIBT and LMK to solve e-services issue by February 27,2018. The committee dictated that in case this case was not solved at the given time, it will be transferred to Federal Investigation Authority.

An officer from LMK, Director Haroon Sharif told the body that three meetings took place this month to solve this issue. After three demonstration sessions, a meeting was also held with the CDA and NITB to conclude the matter.

He also assured the body that the software should be upgraded just according to the requirement of 15-20 percent changes that are developed in period of 10 years as software was prepared during year 2008-2009.

The CDA officials agreed with the statement of Haroon Sharif and ensured that all issues would be resolved and told that very minor modifications are required to make it functional. The FIA director expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of LMK and suggested the body to give a deadline to CDA, LMK and NITB to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
