Nokia 2720 Feature Phone to Get a 4G Version

According to some latest reports that the Nokia 2720 classic feature phone is getting 4G LTE version upgrade soon. China’s 3C communications agency has certified the phone with model number TA-1170 but it was not a smartphone, the report says that this handset is a feature phone.

Recently, in Thailand, the same model number also received certification. Earlier this month, it has been reported that the refreshed Nokia 2720 model with 4G support is in the development. So we can say that the Nokia TA-1170 certification is for the same device.

It seems that the Nokia 2720 is making its tenth-anniversary upgrade, as it was initially launched in September 2009. We can expect the announcement of the device at an event that HMD Global has scheduled on September 5th.

To recall, the original Nokia 2720 comes with a 1.8-inch 120 X 160 color display and a secondary 1.36-inch monochrome display on the outside where you can see the time, notifications, and operator. The phone features a 1.3MP primary camera and FM radio. While the powerhouse is fueled by an 860mAh battery.

However, there is a possibility that the HMD Global might introduce the new version with a slightly refreshed design and a bigger battery to support the 4G network. We can also expect games like Snake in the new version. There are no more details about the latest version yet but we will keep you informed when we get any update about the device.
