Nokia 8.1 Uses NEG Dinorex on Screen

Nowadays, Nokia is using Gorilla Glass by Corning on their screens in order to protect it from scratches and cracks. However, this is not the case with the latest Nokia 8.1. The phone has used Dinorex by NEG to strengthened the glass.

Nippon Electric Glass is a Japanese company and it uses potassium ions on the surface of the glass to strengthen the glass. Several phones have also used it on their screens that include models by ZTE, Meizu and BQ.

Running the latest Android software, Android 9 Pie, ensures the Nokia 8.1 delivers the best Android experiences with the good performance.

Furthermore, the handset comes with Snapdragon 710 chipset with 4GB of RAM. The phone also has 64GB of storage. The memory is expandable by using a microSD. This is an Android One phone currently running Pie. The phone comes in several color variants such as Blue / Silver, Steel / Copper, and Iron / Steel.

The phone comes with a 6.18” PureDisplay IPS LCD with 1080p+ resolution. The notch in the screen houses the 20MP selfie camera. For perfect image capturing, the phone has dual cameras – 12+13MP on the back. The main module uses the 12MP sensor (1/2.55”, 1.4µm pixels) and it sports Zeiss optics (with Optical Image Stabilization). The 13MP module is just a depth sensor.
