Nokia Launches Beta Program for Android Oreo

HMD Global has announced Nokia phones beta labs allowing Nokia users to test Android Oreo before it gets ready for all. Currently, Nokia Launches Beta Program for its Nokia 8 smartphone. The beta testers will be the first to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update.

Juho Sarvikas, the Chief Product Officer at HMD Global has shared on Twitter that the program will follow for other devices like the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 soon.

Once you sign up and validate your device by IMEI number, you will get the beta software over-the-air. You can pull the build directly from Settings > About Phone > System Updates

If you want to stop testing Android Oreo and go back to Android Nougat, you can do so by requesting a roll back over the air. If you do not wish to be part of the Nokia phones beta labs program, you can un-register as well.

Recently, Nokia 7 has launched with some amazing features including glass back and 16 MP back camera. The phone will have 5.2 inch screen with Gorilla Glass 3 corning. Nokia 7 will come with Android Nougat out of the box. The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630. Moreover, it will come with powerful battery of 3000 mAh.
