Nokia Looks To Promote First Ever Nokia App Summit in Pakistan

Nokia has recently announced the advent of a unique event that they are hosting. This event known as the Nokia App Summit 2012 will be held in the thriving city of Karachi and will look to promote several new technological creations by Nokia, alongside a set of app content being developed by Pakistani developers, amateurs and professionals alike. Being an event open to various app and mobile developers this event promises to be a unique experience for those involved.

The dates for the event are the 16th and 17th of July, 2012 and the venue will be Karachi Marriott Hotel. Many organizers are involved in the hosting of this event, namely P@SHA, Djuice, CIO Pakistan, The Express Tribune, Apna Karachi FM-107 and Brandsynario.

The event will include a conference, an app exhibition and a developers’ workshop. All these events aim to promote Nokia’s latest production gems to those taking part in the event. The conference will be host to the brilliantly innovative figures from Pakistan’s technological, social and corporate sectors. This will be followed by a number of panel discussions aimed to ascertain the ways in which movie technology has been useful in fields outside the cellular world, such as in healthcare, education and advertising.

On the other hand, the Developer’s Workshop will be exclusively for app developers and students, aiming to train and guide them into developing apps for the Asha series by Nokia.

In order to also involve the visitors in this educational event, the App Exhibition will take place so that they can be made aware of Nokia offerings.

The Business Development Manager for Nokia Near East had motivating words to put out when discussing the Nokia App Summit. She was heard to say, “Pakistan is a hub of talent in the field of technology and Nokia views this repertoire of aptitude as a significant opportunity which can prove pivotal for the development of Pakistan’s mobile technology infrastructure in the future. The Nokia App Summit 2012 is the first step towards showcasing how exciting the future is likely to be for Nokia consumers as well as Pakistan’s app developer community.”

There are a limited number of seats available for those looking to participate in the conference. The registration for this event can de done through the event secretariat. Also, the Developers’ Workshop is now closed for registration with all seats filled. The exhibition will be held on both days from 2.00pm to 8:00pm, with no registration requirements.
