Now Instagram will Let you Monitor the Time You Spend Using It

Instagram keeps on launching new features on daily basis for its users. The name of the feature is “UsageInsights”, which will show users the total amount of time they spend on an Instagram app. This feature was found by Jane Manchun Wong.

Right now the functionality of the feature is not known however it may work while showing details of how much time you spent on the app. It will show the time spent on Instagram on a respective day, the previous day, last week and month. The above screenshot shows that the feature appearing in the menu with the option “usage Insights”.

On Twitter, Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom confirmed the service’s upcoming time management tool:

We’re building tools that will help the IG community know more about the time they spend on Instagram – any time should be positive and intentional.

Nonetheless, Systrom highlights the importance of gaining insights into how screen times affect the well-being of individuals, saying:

Understanding how time online impacts people is important, and it’s the responsibility of all companies to be honest about this. We want to be part of the solution. I take that responsibility seriously.

Let us see when Instagram is going to launch this feature to its users. It’s a must-have feature as now people will be able to know that how much time they waste on Instagram. No Doubt, Time is Money and it needs to be utilized in a proper way.
