It can work with any 4.6-inch to 5-inch smartphone. Initially, Hyperkin introduced the idea as an April fools’ joke. After positive response, Hyperkin decided to really make it.

Hyperkin has sufficient experience building stuff like this. Their remarkable Retron 5 can play cartridges from 10 different classic gaming consoles. They’ve made Atari, Coleco, and Intellivision Flashback systems that come pre-loaded with games. They even sated a Super NES-friendly system into a gamepad and gave it a battery and a color display so you can game on the go, though somewhat awkwardly thanks to the large cartridge sagging out of the back.

The Smart Boy will cost be between $40 and $60. It is expected to release at the end of this year.
