“Smart Boot” can warm cold feet in winters, with the help of a new in-built heating system organized by a smartphone application.

Named the “world’s first amenity heated smart boots,” the footwear will support both iOS and Android headsets, connecting over Bluetooth. Users of the Lundí boots can regulate the temperature of the smart footwear with the help of a temperature slider on the mobile app.

According to the manufacturer, the boots will heat up within less than a minute, contingent on how cold it is outside. The warmness emanates from a heating component embedded within malleable pads in the boots.

It is also said that the battery will last for seven to eight hours, and can be wirelessly charged via a special boot shaper that will be similar to the cardboard insets provided with most new boots. Manufacturers are of the view that it takes almost 1.5 hours for the battery to get fully charged.

Made of leather, the boots consist an enclosed wedge heel and are water-resistant whereas the heating system is wholly waterproof.

The manufacturers of the Lundí smart boots are pursuing funding on Kickstarter, with boots available for $649.

As soon as the technological boots go into fabrication, the full price will be $775. The first boots are due to ship in November 2016, if the capital target is reached.
