As soon as you start a call, you will see a button that is new the microphone mute and camera toggle buttons. The duo will capture just what it on your own display screen when you tap the button, a prompt shows up to see. You can check the container to ensure the prompt does not pop up as time goes on now tap Start to share your display screen.
After this, you will be taken to a home screen where one can use the phone in a normal way. While sharing the screen, an orange outline will appear moreover this line will turn blue when you pause screen sharing.
To pause, tap the pause button in the floating pill-shaped controller. If you want to stop screen sharing altogether, you can either tap the X button in the controller or tap Stop Sharing in the notification.
The screen sharing feature appears to be broken at the time of writing. The receiver looks to only get a frozen image, and the only way to un-freeze the image is when the call ends. Maybe an upcoming update will fix this issue.
In Future, Google Duo will also let you reply to video and audio messages directly. Right now one can only call back the sender to start a live conversation or leave another message if they are unavailable.
