Good news, to have a Google+ account on the Google Play Store to write reviews won’t be required anymore. People will be able to post reviews without it.
Now You Don’t Need a Google+ Profile to Post Reviews on Play Store
Few days after there were reports that the Play Store no more necessitates you to have a Google+ profile to write reviews. Google has affirmed the amendment.
“A G+ profile is no longer needed to post a review.”
The company stated.
It’s worth mentioning that the change may not be available to everyone as it is still rolling out. It was witnessed via laptop that to leave a review, Play Store asked to create a Google+ profile. Though people have positively posted app reviews by using an Android phone without having a Google+ account.
The exclusion of the Google+ profile constraint is part of current variations with Google+ across various Google products, which started last year. The first change was separating Google+ from YouTube’s comments.
“People have told us that accessing all of their Google stuff with one account makes life lot easier.”
Google VP of Streams, Photos and Sharing Bradley Horowitz wrote in a blog post.
“But we’ve also heard it doesn’t make sense for your Google+ profile to be your identity in all the other Google products you use.”
Google+ has been called “walking dead” after the departure of Vic Gundotra, the father of Google+.
