On Tuesday, National Telecommunication authority (NTC) arranged a one day seminar on cyber security and software defined IP networks solutions. NTC and Huawei Technologies Hold Seminar on Cyber Security.
According to NTC Managing Director Brig (r) Viqar Rashid Khan, the seminar was conducted in partnership with Huawei Technologies.

Attendees of the session were officers of NTC. Where as the officers from other cities joined the seminar via video conferencing facility.
Chief technology officer of Huawei Global, Mark Wu, shared the thoughts related to cyber security and technological development made in this area. He emphasized the latest trends in progression of software defined networks and offering of Network as a Service (NaaS).
The speakers shared their thoughts and practices about cyber security and paid recommendations to assist technical team of NTC. As security of IT and telecom networks is gaining importance due to hacking and other burglary, this is a step forward to eradicate such means of harassing people.
Wu Hao, another expert from Huawei, introduced Software Defined Wide Area Networks and its key features.
Director general of NTC Miraj Gul, highlighted the importance of directing such seminar and enactment of management to continuously arranging programs for capacity building of its officers. He also emphasized the importance of software defined networks for provision of latest ICT services to the government subscribers through its state-of-the art Tier-3 Data Centre.
He revealed that the NTC prepared a platform for hosting all future services which would be oriented on similar designs. The participants held interactive session and group discussions with Huawei.
The member also appreciated the demeanor of such information oriented seminar and hoped that such sessions would be conducted on regular basis for capacity building.
