Olivia Porn Message on WhatsApp Targets Children
Scammers are now targeting kids with Olivia Porn Message on WhatsApp. Kids receive message from someone who says that my name is “Olivia” and claims to be from a friend of a friend who has a new phone number. Once children get in to conversation she cuts the small talk short and begins to send links to porn sites.
British police in Cheshire has also requested parents to check their kids’ messages if they are using WhatsApp. Apparently, it is specifically targeting children.

However, to cop up with these type of messages WhatsApp has released some guidance on the most common types of scam message. The company has already warned that if you get messages like this, you may have been targeted by a scammer:
- The message sender claims to be affiliated with WhatsApp.
- The content of message carries some instructions to forward the message.
- The message says you can avoid punishment, like account suspension, if you forward the message.
- The message content includes a gift or any reward from WhatsApp or another person.
If you receive one of these messages or any that match WhatsApp’s list, then simply block the sender.
