Omar Manzoor Moves to Vimpelcom as Director Communication. The head of Corporate Communication at Mobilink, Omar Manzur has been nominated as Director Internal Communication at VimpelCom. He has been the head for more than 10 years at Mobilink.

Omar is one of the most renowned PR resources in the country and is considered as one of the pioneers of the PR industry in Pakistan.

He is attributed for scheduling one of the first PR departments in Pakistan and accurately announcing public relation functions in Pakistan’s commercial sector. He was head of PR at Mobilink from 2004 till to date, excluding for a seven months break when he served Mobilink as Head of HR business associates in 2012.

For this new job, Omar will be based outside Amsterdam. Where he will be accountable for international communication of VimpelCom at group level. He will take the charge in November 2016. Till that time he will continue to serve Mobilink as Director Corporate Communication. As Mobilink has not revealed Omar’s replacement yet.

Moreover the successful merger of Warid and Mobilink has been accomplished. Both companies are in concluding stage of incorporation, for which Omar has played an important part.
