OnePlus 6 Red to Arrive on July 10th

OnePlus has announced via a post on their official blog, the new color variant of OnePlus 6 that is “Red”.  Lava Red edition OnePlus 5T was very popular, that’s why the company is now planning to release OnePlus 6 in red on 10th July.

OnePlus is using a new film coating process in the Red edition that has never been used in any smartphone before. The OnePlus 6 Red has a glossy and shimmery finish with silver accents.

The dual-SIM (Nano) OnePlus 6 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo. The device has OxygenOS 5.1 on top and is upgradable to Android P. The the device sports a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and Adreno 630 GPU.

 

The camera section has a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX519 sensor and an f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary Sony IM376K sensor. These two sensors are supported by a dual-LED flash. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for perfect selfie.

Currently, OnePlus 6 is available in Midnight Black, Mirror Black, and Silk White color options. With the addition of red, there will be now total of four options. In the US, OnePlus 6 Red will be available at $579 for a model with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM on July 10th, and in India it will be avialable at 39,999 rupees on July 16th. It is to be expected that soon the OnePlus 6 Red will be available globally.
