OnePlus 7 Pro First Firmware Update Rolls Out To Users

The much awaited and highly anticipated flagship phone by the OnePlus made its way to the market on May 14. The handset is all packed with premium features and is the company’s first triple camera smartphone. The handset went on sale on Thursday, May 16 on T-Mobile stores across the US. All the people who have bought OnePlus 7 Pro are greeted with a firmware update out of the box.

OnePlus 7 Pro Receives First Firmware Update

The OTA Update weighs about 125MB and it brings the phone up to Google’s April security patch. In addition to that, it also adds a new feature to the OnePlus Laboratory screen called “DC dimming” that adjusts the power current going to the display and reduces flicker at lower brightness.

The update brought significant improvements to the camera, added some features like the Fnatic mode for the Gaming. Moreover,  it also brought support for VoLTE and VoWiFi for Thailand AIS. The changelog also hints at an improved smooth-scrolling experience and general bugfixes throughout the User interface. Let’s have a look at that:

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the company’s first triple camera handset. The main camera of the setup uses a large 1/2” Sony IMX586 sensor with 48MP resolution (0.8µm pixels). Moreover, it has a bright f/1.6 aperture, OIS and EIS. The new UltraShot feature enables HDR+ (multi-frame stacking), which allows the camera to capture 4 times as much light, as well as Super Resolution.

In addition to that, the phone has a large 4,000mAh battery with the new Warp Charge 30 (5V/6A). Because of the Warp Charge’s ability to control the temperature and the beefed up cooling on the chipset, all the users can now play the game while charging. It won’t heat up. Furthermore, it comes with a 16MP pop-up camera that has been tested to more than 300,000 cycles.
