Only 5 SIMs Allowed Against one CNIC

Only 5 SIMs allowed against one CNIC, PTA ordered.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued directive for allowing maximum of five SIMs against one CNIC of any operator.

It has been learnt that mobile cellular companies have received new orders of the PTA and are evaluating their options for the implementation of the order.

Before this directive, each CNIC holder could own 10 SIMs of one operator or 40 SIMs of 4 cellular operators at most. But according to the new rule, one customer will be able to hold maximum of five SIMs against his/her CNIC of one or multiple operators.

Now you can only have five SIMs of one operator or multiple operator against one CNIC according to the new order of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The point of confinement of five SIMs per CNIC is forced to demoralize the illicit sale of SIMs due to security reasons. Now no more than 5 SIMs can be registered on a single CNIC. So that the use of illegal SIMs can be controlled and illegal use of SIMs can also be minimized. This order of PTA will surely be help a lot to minimize the illegal use of SIMs.
