OPPO is best known for its selfie centric smartphones. Now the company is working on a new smartphone which appears on Geekbench. The company has named the smartphone, OPPO Poseidon. It may be the company’s first 5G-enabled smartphone. As the listing reveals that it will launch with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.

The listing does not reveal much. The only thing that we know about OPPO Poseidon is that it will launch with Snapdragon 855. Also, it will come with Android Pie. So, we may hope that the phone will launch in the first quarter of 2019.

Recently. OPPO has joined the Wireless Power Consortium under the name Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications Corp. So, we may hope that the upcoming OPPO smartphones will have wireless charging capability. However, we are not sure whether Vivo and OnePlus will follow this trend. As both companies offer fast charging in their smartphones.
