Oppo Reno 16T Debuts With Dimensity 8550 Super; Expected Price & Release Timeline in Pakistan

OPPO has unveiled the Reno 16T in China, adding a new compact smartphone to its Reno 16 lineup with a 200MP camera, a 6700mAh battery, and a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset.
The new handset is positioned as an upper-midrange device, combining a relatively compact design with high-end camera hardware and a large battery. OPPO has priced the Reno 16T at CNY 3,699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the 16GB/512GB version costs CNY 4,499.
The Reno 16T features a 6.32-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 1.5K-class resolution of 2640 × 1216 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits, according to specifications reported following its Chinese launch.
Powering the phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, built on a 4nm process. It is paired with LPDDR5X/LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, with configurations reaching 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The phone also comes with IP68/IP69K protection, an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, an infrared blaster, Wi-Fi 6, and stereo speakers.
200MP Camera Leads the Setup
Photography is one of the main highlights of the Reno 16T. The rear camera system consists of a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera offering up to 3.5x optical zoom.
A 50MP front-facing camera handles selfies and supports 4K video recording. The rear camera system also supports 4K video capture.
The phone packs a 6700mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Despite the large battery, the handset weighs around 188–191 grams, depending on the color, and has a thickness of about 8.36 mm.
Oppo Reno 16T Price and Expected Pakistan Launch
The Reno 16T is currently confirmed for the Chinese market, and OPPO has not announced a Pakistan launch date for the device.
However, OPPO’s recent launch pattern provides some indication of what could happen next. The Reno 16 series was introduced in China on May 25, 2026, before the standard Reno 16 arrived in Pakistan on August 31, roughly three months later. Pre-orders opened shortly afterwards, with local retail availability scheduled for September 5.
The Reno 15 series also entered Pakistan after its initial launch cycle, with OPPO unveiling the lineup locally on January 29 and retail sales beginning on February 9.
If OPPO follows a similar regional rollout for the Reno 16T, the phone could potentially reach Pakistan in late December 2026 or early 2027. This remains an estimate, as there is currently no official confirmation from OPPO Pakistan.
The Chinese starting price of CNY 3,699 is also slightly higher than the original Chinese starting price of the Reno 16, which was CNY 3,499.
In Pakistan, the Reno 16 is currently listed around Rs 200,000 by local price trackers, although OPPO Pakistan’s current materials list the standard Reno 16 at a higher Rs 230,000 figure.
Based on the Chinese pricing gap and the local pricing of the Reno 16, the expected Pakistan price of the Reno 16T could fall in the Rs 220,000–245,000 range if OPPO officially launches the device here. The final price would depend on the configuration selected, local taxes, and OPPO’s pricing strategy.
For now, however, the Reno 16T remains a China-market launch, with no official Pakistan price or release date confirmed.
