PAK Vs. SL: Ramiz Raja Advises Pakistan Players To Avoid Negativity On Social Media
Former PCB chairman Ramiz Raja recently shared his views about Asia Cup 2023. He is quite hopeful that Pakistan may qualify for the Asia Cup 2023 Finals due to India’s win over Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage. Ramiz Raja emphasized that Pakistan needs to use the two-day break to rejuvenate and mentally prepare for their upcoming Asia Cup matches. He further said that instead of spreading negativity on social media platforms, Pakistan players need to focus on the upcoming matches. The team needs to re-group for their must-win match against Srilanka.
Pakistan To Lock Horns With Srilanka in Final Super Four Stage Asia Cup Match
Let me tell you that the Babar Azam-led Pakistan team witnessed a 228-run defeat against the Rohit Sharma-led team in their previous match. The Pakistan bowlers conceded 356 runs after choosing to bat first in Colombo. In response, the Pakistan team was bundled out for just 128, recording their biggest loss against India.
In a video on Ramiz Raja’s official YouTube channel, he advised the Pakistan team to move on from their loss against India and focus on regrouping for their must-win match against Sri Lanka. He stated:
“India has given Pakistan a ray of hope with the win over Sri Lanka. Now we’ve to see if Pakistan can take benefit from that, or whether they will be low on spirits because of the defeat against India,”
According to him, the Pakistan cricket team needs some time off the game. They have to be mentally switched off. A two-day rest period is good for them where they can get together and talk. Moreover, Ramiz Raja also emphasized that the Pakistan team should avoid negativity on social media. In addition to that, a piece of advice for captain Babar Azam was to focus on boosting the team’s spirits ahead of their match against Sri Lanka. He even stated:
“If anyone needs special practice, they can take it. Go to the pool, relax. Don’t touch social media, don’t watch television channels. There won’t be anything good there because the whole of Pakistan is disappointed. Get united,”
Pakistan will lock horns with Srilanka in their final Super Four stage match at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, on Thursday, September 14. Let’s hope for the best for our team.
