Pakistan Issues e-visas to 7,000 People: NADRA

On the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan has introduced the online visa facility and interestingly it has proven to be very successful. NADRA has reported that Pakistan has issued e-visas to almost 7,000 people. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has mentioned in a statement that the visa policy will be useful for promoting tourism along with economic diplomacy.

According to NADRA that 9,931 applications have been received for a visa, of that 7,160 visas have been issued and 2,446 applications are still under review. However, 325 applications have been rejected due to technical reasons.

Moreover, now Pakistan Online Visa System is open for the citizens of 175 Countries and citizens of 50 Countries can apply for Visa on Arrival under Tourist Category. Furthermore, the citizens from 95 Countries can apply for Visa on Arrival under Business Category. Pakistan updated its visa policy on January, 26.
FM Qureshi said:
Pakistan’s visa policy had been thoroughly revamped. “Visa fee has been rationalized to make it enticing tourists from around the world,” he further said. Online visa facility had been provided to citizens of 175 countries. He added that all roads leading to international borders will also be opened for foreigners.
Now people can easily apply online for Pakistan’s visa. Prime Minister Imran Khan has also directed the authorities in order to reduce the fee of visa.
We hope that this new online system will encourage people to visit and invest in Pakistan as it is providing a big facility and keeping them away from any hustle.
