Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Interior announced that Pakistan is about to launch electronic visa facility in order to facilitate genuine investors and visitors. He announced the news in a meeting held at high commission in London. Pakistan’s Deputy High Commissioner to United Kingdom (UK) Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri , Members of the UK Parliament Illyas Amin Qureshi and Muhammad Yasin, officials of Pakistan High Commission (PHC), a large number of British-Pakistanis, and journalists, attended the reception.

While telling about e- visa system to the members of Pakistani community at high commission in London Mr. Iqbal said:
We are in consultation with the foreign office in this regard
The minister also said that by incorporating electronic visa’s in Pakistan, the country will become the best investment and tourist destination which will in turn benefit the country a lot.
Ahsan Iqbal also said that Pakistan has become thee best destination for investors having an attractive market of 207 million people with an emerging middle class. He urged upon them to take into account investment opportunities in various parts of the economy, including the information technology sector. Overseas Pakistanis can play their pivital role in the socio-economic development of the country.
