Pakistan to Launch “Made in Pakistan” Portal to Bring 50K Artisans Online
Anusha Rahman, Minster of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication revealed that Pakistan is launching Made in Pakistan portal where 50,000 artisans will be brought online. Pakistan to Launch “Made in Pakistan” Portal to Bring 50K Artisans Online.
This was disclosed in World Economic Forum held in Davos where Anusha Rahman actively participated from Pakistan as an active speaker in field of technology.

While highlighting Pakistan’s initiative to promote ICT sector, she said that MOITT is striving hard to bring e-commerce culture in Pakistan. She said that:
In Pakistan we think development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is directly linked with development of cross border e-commerce
Anusha revealed that MOITT along with Ministry of Commerce is implementing this policy initiative to formulate a comprehensive E-Commerce policy framework in Pakistan. This platform will help small businesses which will in turn benefit digital technology.
Ms. Rahman further added that:
The sooner we find solutions for e-payments, infrastructure capacities, facilitative regulatory framework and credit financing
for small businesses, the sooner we will provide SMBs a chance to effectively play their role in inclusive trade and development
She also highlighted initiative taken by Pakistan’s ministry for development of Pakistan IT sector. No Doubt, PITB and MOITT is working hard for promoting IT culture in Pakistan. Previously during Anusha Rahman’s tenure, Startup culture was promoted and e-learning was initiated to promote freelancing for women.
