Pakistan Witnesses 35.5 Million 3G/4G Subscribers till Oct 2016

According to the recent report of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of 3G/4G subscribers in Pakistan reached 35.45 million at the end of October 2016, up from 34.3 million in September 2016.

Whereas mobile phone subscribers have also reached 134.91 million by end October 2016, up from 134.41 million a month ago at the end of September 2016, recording a rise of about 0.5 million cellular subscribers during the period.

Mobilink leads the charts with 11.78 million 3G subscribers, Telenor is closing in the gap with 9.24 million subscribers and Zong has reached 6.68 million 3G users, by end of October 2016, as compared to 10.955 million, 9.11 million and 6.66 million subscribers as that of September. The report further added that Ufone 3G users decreased from 5,297,543 in September to 5,245,299 by end October 2016.

Whereas Warid LTE users have also reached 599785 by end October against 577275 during this period.

The number of Zong 4G users also increased from 1,713,900 subscribers in September 2016 to 1,903,285 subscribers by end October 2016.

Teledensity for cellular mobile also reached 69.22%. Whereas broadband subscribers augmented to 35,446,843 during October from 34,318,350 in September 2016.
