Pakistani Entrepreneur Dr Shahid Mahmud Receives Distinguished Fellow Award 2016

It really feels good when a Pakistani makes proud on international platform like “Distinguished Fellow Award 2016”. Yes, this time, an entrepreneur Dr. Shahid Mahmud, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of pioneer Interactive Group, an ICT company in Pakistan, has received ‘Distinguished Fellow Award 2016’.

This award is actually the annual recognition of an “Eisenhower Fellow” who did something recognizable and made important contribution to any field. Presently, Eisenhower Fellow has around 1,500 active fellows.

Mr. Mahmud started his Eisenhower Fellowship in 2001. Mr. Gov Christine Todd Whitman, Chairman of the executive committee of the EF board of trustees said about him:

“His deep sense of service is equaled only by his boundless generosity and his commitment to collaborating with others to help better society.”

Mr. Whitman also added that:

“We celebrate his dedication to enriching our world and the EF network by finding new paths to confront new and daunting challenges.”

About Dr. Mahmud:

Dr. Mahmud is the CEO of Interactive Group which is a leading company which has pioneered the development of Pakistan’s telecom, IT, wireless and media infrastructure.

He has also served on many other positions including federal committees of the Govt. of Pakistan (GoP) to help formulate and implement the national IT and telecom policy.

The President of Eisenhower Fellowships, Mr. George de Lama, said:
