PITB & PFA Organize meeting to Evaluate 7 Months Performance of ‘Smart Food Licensing System’. Punjab Information Technology Board- PITB has designed Smart Food Licensing System to cater Punjab Food Authority. The Smart Food Licensing System has facilitated the collection of over 74 million PKR in food license fee payments over the last 7 months.
Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Food Authority have collaborated to launch the Smart Food Licensing System. The system was envisioned by the DG PFA, Mr. Noor-ul-Amin Mengal who was ably assisted by the Additional DG and GM-IT PFA.
PITB & PFA Organize meeting to Evaluate 7 Months Performance of ‘Smart Food Licensing System’
A meeting was held between officials of PITB and PFA regarding the Smart Food Licensing System developed by PITB to automate PFA operations. The meeting was headed by Shahid Inayat, Additional DG PFA.
The main focus of meeting was to streamline the scope of services. PFA revealed that they have expanded their operations in 36 districts. Smart Food Licensing System designed by PITB includes a centralized monitoring and reporting dashboard,license fee/fine collection/tracking mechanism and supporting mobile applications for field officials.

- Public mobile application for Complaint Registration & new Food Business License requests
- PFA officials’ mobile application for logging field visit
- Smart monitoring of all field activities through centralized dashboard
- Smart tracking of license fees/fine collection
PITB is striving for a digital Pakistan resolution and claims to complete over 74 project towards the road of digitization.
