The eighth e-khidmat center of Punjab Information Technology Board is located next to Lahore’s Arfa Technology Park. It has started it operations from yesterday for welfare for citizens of Pakistan. PITB’s 8th e-Khidmat Center Starts Operations in Lahore.
e-khidmat Center is one of the most appreciated project launched by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The concept of e-Khidmat Center or Citizen Facilitation Center is to provide collective services for the ease of public in the province.

On June 2016, the Punjab Information Technology Board had announced that it would establish 40 e-Khidmat centers by March 2018.
e-Khidmat mobile app is launched for both Android and iPhone users. This app allows users to book an advance appointment of any of 17 government services. This app will save the citizens time which they previously used to waste while waiting at center.
This is the second e-Khidmat center in Lahore, the first center is located at Town Hall called Lahore branch. People can avail the services includes issuance of:

- Marriage Certificate
- Death Certificate
- Divorce Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Motor Vehicle Registration
- Token Tax Collection
- Vehicle Transfer of Ownership
- Learners Driving License
- Traffic Fine Collection
- Domicile Certificate
- Issuance of CNIC
- NADRA E-Sahulat
- Route Permit
Around 1.5 million people are happily utilizing e-Khidmat centers in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rawalpindi.
According to PITB, 1,543,273 people visited e-Khidmat centers and 772,437 applications were processed with a turnaround time of 98.99.
The newly launched center will be inaugurated in March to cater population of more than 10 million. The impact of the e-Khidmat center has a very positive sign on the users as well as the developers. Punjab Information Technology Board Chairman Umer Saif has been praised many times for promoting information technology.
