Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has inaugurated the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi at the launch ceremony. The launch ceremony held at NED University of Engineering & Technology on 11th May. Back in February, PM officially launched NIC Karachi. Now PM Inaugurates National Incubation Center Karachi.

NIC Karachi will house startups and connect them with mentors, investors, and new business opportunities. Moreover, it will also offer a 12 week long experiential learning program. The program will also create impact entrepreneurs with the help of a network of mentors drawn from the country’s leading business and community leaders. Moreover, additional value is provided by 1-on-1 intensive coaching, a peer cohort model. Furthermore, it also access to partners and partnership programs.
According to Official statement,
The National Incubation Center (NIC) Program has been designed and is funded by Ministry of Information & Telecom and Ignite. It is being executed by various parties, which have been selected through an open, competitive bidding process in which well over a hundred business groups, telecom operators, IT companies, media houses, and academic institutions participated.
The NIC will provide startups with a free of cost workspace, incubation, acceleration – Jazz xlr8 program – seed funds, and access to 50 million plus mobile customers.
At NIC startups are provided with:
- Free workspace
- Funding: Support in raising capital from Angel investors locally and globally
- Best and experienced Mentorship
- Access to Pakistan’s leading mobile, internet, and technology platforms and services
- The best, bespoke learning modules, materials and resources that will help startups
