PocketVision- Honor’s AI-powered Smart App for Visually Impaired
The app can help visually impaired people to read documents, notes and everything more easily. There are three available modes in the app yet
- Text-to-Speech Mode
- Negative Image Mode
- Zoom-In Mode
The first mode is pretty simple. You point at a text and the phone reads it out loud. It works in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Italian and German. This mode works using the HiAI platform and Optical Character Recognition by converting pictures into text.
The second mode which is actually a Negative Image Mode provides a wide range of colour filters. The filters will enrich the image by improving the contrast of the text.
The last Zoom-In Mode will surely zoom the pictures as its name suggest. It will utilize the cameras of the Honor 20 family and zoom in the text using the volume buttons.
This app is especially designed for 20-series smartphones. However, PocketVision is available at Huawei’s AppGallery. All Honor users can install this app on their phones.
