On Tuesday President Mamnoon Hussain arrived in China to attend the 2nd World Internet Conference being held at the historic Wuzhen town of Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. The conference inaugurated today and will end on 18th December, 2015.
The President, was accompanied by First Lady Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon. They were received at the Hangzhou airport by Vice Governor of Zhejiang province Lian Lining and high ranking officials of government of China and Pakistan Embassy.

Other than attending the World Internet Conference the President will also hold joint meeting with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping to talk over problems which are of mutual interest.
President Xi Jinping delivered a key note at the inaugural ceremony of the conference. World Internet Conference is a mutual venture of the Cyberspace Administration of China and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province, Peoples Republic of China.
Masood Khalid, Pakistan Ambassador to China in a statement informed that Pakistan’s utmost level contribution in the Wuzhen Summit was a mirror image of Pak-China developing strategic, economic and political merging of interests.
“With CPEC on a fast track of implementation, our relationship is gaining newer heights. As next year marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries, I am confident that the upward momentum of our bilateral strategic partnership will continue to grow in the coming years.”
The aim of the session is to assist as a platform for constructing a cyberspace community of shared destiny, sponsor global respect for diversity and to hearth agreement and confronting risks to cyber security together. Pakistan’s involvement in the Conference will assist he country address its cyber security issues and improve cooperation for positive use of internet technology.
