PSDF to Provide Skills & Vocational Training Opportunities also Covering IT Sector

Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) established under the Companies Ordinance 1984 by the Government of Punjab, has recently take an initiative to launch a new specialized scheme for industry namely “Industrial Training Programme 2016”  to engage industries / establishment for provisions of skills-based training as per the requirements. Under this scheme, 20,000 individuals from across the Punjab will be trained.

This time Punjab Skills Development Fund will also provide training on “Computer Hardware Technician” in which trainees will be made aware with basic hardware training so that later they can start their own business and earn handsome income.

PSDF aims to provide skills and vocational Training opportunities to the poor and vulnerable populations of the 36 districts of the Punjab. PSDF funds vocational training and intends to improve income generation capacity of the residents of Punjab. More than 115000, PSDF funded trainees have completed their trainings in numerous sectors.

In this connection, PSDF has invited the Expression of Interest -EOI from industries/establishments for the said scheme “Industrial Training Programme 2016”.
