PTA Conducts Workshop on MBB Technology for FAST University Peshawar Students under Smart Pakistan Program

Smart Pakistan initiative, being the part of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in organized a training session on “Mobile Wireless Technology Overview” for the students of FAST university, Peshawar.

The main agenda was to give students the fundamental understanding of 2G, 3G and 4G technologies. The students of FAST were visibly impressed with the training session as it provided them with helpful details and the training skills of the mentors.

The mentors include:

• Mr. Haris Ahmad; who discussed 2G technology with students
• Mr. Aimal explained 3G/4G to the participants
• Mr. Umer distributed certificates from PTA among the students

Smart-Pakistan (www.smartpakistan.pk) is an initiative taken by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to encourage the use of  mobile broadband; launched back in July 2015. This is a web portal which provides non- stop repository and directory of  mobile applications focusing on different development thematic areas such as mEducation, mHealth, mAgriculture and mGovernment etc.
