PTA Holds Meeting to Analyze Implementation of Telecom Policy 2015

Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has started analyzing the Telecommunication Policy 2015 recently released by Ministry of IT&T after approval from Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on 11^th December 2015.

A meeting of different Divisions of PTA to review in detail Sections of the Telecom Policy was held at PTA Headquarters today.  Chairman PTA, Dr.Syed Ismail Shah and Member (Finance) Mr.Tariq Sultan chaired the meeting.  Participants of the meeting appreciated the role of MoIT in drafting a comprehensive Policy while keeping in view different aspects concerning the stakeholders.

During the meeting, role of PTA in implementing the Sections of Policy and strategy for the same was discussed.  Tasks were assigned to PTA Divisions for preparatory work in this regard.  It was decided that follow up review meetings will be held to assess progress on the assigned tasks.
